Across nearly all groups surveyed, the majority feel that now is a good time to buy a home.
Those in the Silent Generation (73%) and Younger Boomers (70%) are the most likely to think now is a good time to buy a home, as well as those in the Midwest (69%).
Seventy four percent of people believe that now is a good time to sell a home, which is the same from Q3 2019.
For most home buyers, the purchase of real estate is one of the largest financial transactions they will make. Buyers purchase a home not only for the desire to own a home of their own, but also because of changes in jobs, family situations, and the need for a smaller or larger living area.
